Last two days

The last two days have been a blur. We completed our consulate visit and are ready to go. This is the girls having fun together reading in the room and just being silly. This is our last post from China !

Medical day

We did our medical exam today and that is the ENT doctor. It is all very cursory but necessary. The pool pics are from our roof top pool overlooking the city. Maggie squints in the sun a lot but was having fun before this. The last one is the 2 Zoey's again, they have had so much fun together. Only a few more days and we are going home!!

Visiting Huidong

The first picture is of daddy baba feeding Maggie and ice cream cone we got walking back from dinner. She has no idea what she is picking out of the freezer but is adamant about which one she wants. The pic of holding the Maggie and her best friend Hui Ying who is coming to the US soon. The last two are of Z & M at the restaurant and all the nannies and us at the restaurant. What a meal!

Beautiful dresses

The girls each chose a dress yesterday and of course they wanted to wear them today! So beautiful they are. That is Maggie loving her first popsicle last night after we came back from dinner. I had to show her how to lick it but she was all over it quickly! Note the matching t-shirts in the teeth brushing picture, they were very civil brushing together, I wonder how long that will last? The last picture is of our laundry neatly packaged and folded beautifully - if only I could get this at home ;)

Shamian Island

Another day closer to coming home - yeah! The girls were watching some kids shows that Chris put on his Ipod this morning. They are so cute with their headphones on.
The other two pics are in the White Swan where we stayed with Zoey in 2003.

Too much fun

Today was a great day! maggie came out of her shell a bit and had a blast. The pics today are of looking at the turtles, eating my first McDonalds ice cream cone (look at those happy eyes), playing stickers and markers with big sis and giving cheesy smiles (we'll take em'), and dinner at a restaurant by our hotel. Maggie ate everything and I had to pick out noodles for Zoey. But they had a great time and were celebrities while we ate.

A day on the town!

As you can see we have a smile this morning, yeah, one of very few :)
Zoey just seems to bring out the best in Maggie. These shots are from Maggie's first carousel ride and ice cream with sister Z at the Children's Park. Then playing in our room with our new toys.

What a day!

Our sleeping beauties were resting well this morning and I could not resist. Today has been quite full of new experiences for Maggie. We went and got the girls floaties for the pool and they are modeling them in the room. The last pic is on the bus on the way to our passport photo for Maggie at the police station. The other little girl is another Zoey and is here getting her new brother Jack.

Hangin' at the pool

Hi all- I think Maggie is not quite sure why we would put these funny suits on that stick to you and play in the sun.  Zoey was loving the pool and wishes we had one in our yard. The family photo is at the Civil Affairs office when we were all done with our adoption as far as the Chinese provincial government is concerned.

Two sisters

Here are the matching dresses for the girls. We wore them today to our final adoption paperwork at the notary office. Maggie was talking on the bus but I had no idea what.

Here she is ... Miss Maggie and big sister Zoey

Here are the very first pictures of our girls together. She loves lollipops and is not so sure of us. More to come....K

This is Z & I in front of some kid of orange festival a few blocks from our hotel. This was the only spot not crowded with people.

Leaving tomorrow

We are on our way to Meimei tomorrow - still need to pack and get my stomach where it belongs! It is hard to believe that we are so close to meeting our daughter. See you from China!
